Our Story

Olive Collection was the seed of an idea that led us to explore the possibilities of using the residues of pruning family olive trees in the creation of handmade sustainable jewellery, for the first time. We experimented on the combination of wood and metal and discovered the incredible possibilities and stunning harmony that these seemingly opposite materials can create when combined. Creativity along with the passion for making elegant, alternative, visual jewelry and the excitement of the early designs made us realize that we had to follow this dream. We are one of the first jewellery workshops in Greece that chooses to reuse materials and one of the few eco-friendly companies in the manufacturing sector.

The collection

Wooden jewelry is not only ecological and fashionable, but also lightweight and comfortable to use. Olive wood is an environmentally and human-friendly material and has an incredible adaptability in combining with other materials and with any style. Each piece is designed and made by hand and lovingly crafted from start to finish. The result is sustainable, unique designs made to last.

We find inspiration with walks in nature and explore every stimulus with unbridled curiosity. More often than not, this leads us to create objects that we envision as a gift from nature to man. We usually start by creating the first forms and original designs by hand. Then in the workshop we refine the designs digitally. We use only olive wood from the prunings of our family's olive trees, left to dry naturally for 5 months. We carefully select the woods to be used and with the assistance of technology, the laser cuts are made. Finishing with liquid wax for a matte velvety feel, composition and binding are again done by hand using traditional handcrafting techniques. This gives recycled olive wood new life as a unique piece of jewellery.

"My jewellery is a synthesis of my life. The olive tree represents for me the environment I grew up in. My childhood memories are surrounded by the shapes, colours and smells I collected from watching my family working in our olive groves. Surrounded by Mediterranean nature, my desire to create awakens and my artistic expression begins to take shape. I created my first necklace on our kitchen table at the age of 6. My teenage years were followed by experimentation with various materials I found around me, stones, wood, etc. and I was always excited by the idea of giving a new life, a new use to a material that has seemingly completed its life cycle. Today I continue to sculpt the materials that surround me, bringing natural elements into a creative context."

"In our jewellery, we exclusively use 100% recycled olive oil from the prunings of our family olive groves, which would have ended up in green waste or incineration. By utilizing natural materials available to us right here on our doorstep, I maintain a direct connection to the place where I live and work. We strive to create with a reduced environmental footprint. We use non-toxic finishes, our packaging is 100% recyclable and in general we choose environmentally friendly practices throughout our work.
